Banana, avocado & walnut breakfast smoothie
While In Jamaica, Rachel learned about the Rastafarian's Ital cuisine. Everything they eat is all raw and vegan, and like First Man explained "Once something runs away, you cannot eat it"
With that in mind, here is a delicious Raw and Vegan smoothie from Kelly Gibney
Ingredients:
1/2 cup walnuts (soaked overnight then rinsed)
1 frozen banana - cut into chunks
1/2 avocado
2 cups water
2 teaspoons maple syrup or rice malt syrup (optional)
1 handful ice
generous pinch cinnamon
pinch turmeric (optional)
Serves 2
Place all ingredients into a blender and blitz until smooth and creamy. Pour into a tall glass and sprinkle additional cinnamon on top. Serve immediately.
